01
Who we are
Veritas is operated by Remigiusz Szkolka, as the individual owner of the project, based in Poland. If a legal business entity is established in the future, this Privacy Policy may be updated with the company details.
For privacy-related questions or requests, you can contact us through the Veritas contact page or by email at support@your-veritas.com.
02
What data we collect
When you generate a report, we collect the information you submit through our report forms. Depending on the report type, this may include your name if provided, date of birth, time of birth, place of birth, report type, selected language or locale, and email address.
For relationship, compatibility, family, or similar reports, this may also include birth data or other report input data about another person, provided by you.
When you purchase a report, we may store order-related metadata such as the report type, payment status, amount, currency, transaction reference, and timestamps. We do not store your full payment card details.
When you contact us, we collect the information needed to respond to your request, such as your email address, message, report type, report link, and any other details you choose to include.
We also collect limited technical data needed to operate, secure, analyze, and improve the service. This is described in more detail below.
03
How we use your data
We use your data to generate and deliver the report you requested, provide access to your report through a private link, send the report link and PDF by email where applicable, process payments, respond to support requests, prevent abuse or fraud, maintain the reliability and security of Veritas, improve the service, and comply with legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not use your report input data to build advertising profiles.
We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
04
Legal bases for processing
Where the General Data Protection Regulation, the UK GDPR, or similar privacy laws apply, we process personal data using the following legal bases.
We process report input data because it is necessary to provide the service you requested: generating and delivering your report.
We process your email address when it is necessary to send your report link, deliver a PDF attachment where applicable, or respond to your support request.
We process payment and order metadata where necessary to complete the transaction, prevent fraud, and comply with tax, accounting, and legal obligations.
We process technical, security, analytics, and fraud-prevention data based on our legitimate interest in operating a secure, reliable, and functioning service.
Where we rely on consent, for example for optional cookies or optional communications, you may withdraw that consent at any time.
05
Birth data and report generation
Veritas uses the birth data and other information you submit to generate reflective digital reports. These reports are intended for personal insight, self-reflection, and entertainment/informational purposes.
Birth data may include exact date, time, and place of birth. Because this information can be personal and private, you should only submit information that you are comfortable providing for the purpose of generating a report.
Veritas reports are not medical, psychological, psychiatric, legal, financial, employment, or professional advice.
06
Information about other people
If you submit information about another person, including birth data for a relationship, compatibility, family, or similar report, you confirm that you have that person's permission or another lawful basis to provide their information to Veritas for this purpose.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to submit this information.
Veritas processes this information only to generate and deliver the report you requested, provide support related to that report, maintain service security, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
If another person contacts us about information submitted about them, we will review the request according to applicable privacy laws and the information reasonably available to us.
07
Report links and PDF delivery
Generated reports may be accessible through a private report link. These links are intended to be private and are not meant to be publicly indexed.
However, a private report link may be accessible to anyone who has the link unless additional access controls are implemented. You should treat your report link as private and avoid sharing it with anyone you do not want to access your report.
Where applicable, Veritas may also send your report as a PDF attachment by email. Email delivery depends on third-party email infrastructure and your own email provider. You are responsible for maintaining access to and security of your email account.
08
Report data storage and retention
We store report data so that we can generate your report, provide access to it through your private link, deliver it by email where applicable, respond to support requests, investigate technical issues, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
Unless a fixed retention period is implemented and stated separately, report data is retained for as long as necessary to provide access to the report, support the user, maintain service reliability, and meet legal, tax, accounting, or dispute-resolution requirements.
You may request deletion of your report data at any time. We will delete or anonymize the data unless we are required to keep certain information for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, or dispute-resolution reasons.
09
Payment data
Payments are processed by an external payment provider. Veritas does not collect or store your full payment card details on our own systems.
The payment provider may process payment card details, billing information, transaction identifiers, fraud-prevention data, and other information needed to complete the transaction. Their processing is governed by their own privacy and security terms.
Veritas may store limited payment and order metadata, such as payment status, amount, currency, report type, timestamps, and transaction reference, for accounting, support, fraud-prevention, and legal compliance purposes.
10
Service providers and processors
We use trusted service providers to operate Veritas. These may include providers for hosting, database storage, payment processing, email delivery, PDF generation, analytics, security, geocoding or timezone resolution, customer support, and automated report generation.
These service providers may process personal data only as needed to provide their services to Veritas, maintain security and reliability, comply with legal obligations, or perform the specific functions for which they are engaged.
Where required by applicable law, we use appropriate contractual safeguards with service providers, such as data processing agreements or equivalent terms.
11
Technical and analytics data
We collect limited technical and analytics data to operate, secure, debug, and improve Veritas. This may include approximate location derived from IP address, such as country, region, or city; a hashed version of the IP address; browser and device information; user agent; referrer; UTM parameters; timestamps; report type; selected locale; delivery status; error events; and similar technical information.
This data may be linked to a report through an internal report identifier so that we can understand whether a report was generated, delivered, failed, or required support.
Technical and analytics data is used for reliability, fraud prevention, security, service improvement, support, and operational reporting. It is not used to build advertising profiles.
12
Free report access verification and abuse prevention
For the Animals Within free report, we require an email address to send your report access link and to help prevent misuse of the free service.
When you submit a request for a free report, we derive and store a salted cryptographic hash of your normalized email address in an internal access log. This hash is used only to verify that the same email address is not used to generate more than one free report. Your raw email address is stored in the report record solely for the purpose of sending you the verification link and, if applicable, future communication about your report.
We also derive and store a salted cryptographic hash of your IP address. We do not store the raw IP address in the abuse log. The IP hash is used to apply rate limits designed to prevent automated or bulk abuse of the free report service. These rate limits are technical safeguards and not used to profile or track individuals across sessions.
When your report is generated, we send a verification link to the email address you provided. You must click this link to access your report. This link expires after 48 hours. Clicking the link confirms that you have access to the provided email account.
For paid reports, we record your explicit consent to the immediate generation of digital content before redirecting you to payment. This consent record includes a timestamp, the report type, the version of the consent text shown, and the associated order or session identifier. This is stored for legal compliance and to document that you acknowledged the potential loss of withdrawal rights for instant digital goods.
13
Cookies and similar technologies
Veritas uses a minimal set of cookies or similar technologies where necessary to operate the service, maintain security, process payments, remember essential preferences, or prevent abuse.
We do not use cookies or similar technologies for cross-site advertising tracking.
If Veritas later adds optional analytics, marketing, remarketing, or advertising cookies, the Privacy Policy and cookie consent mechanism must be updated before those technologies are enabled.
14
International data transfers
Veritas is available internationally, and we may use service providers located in different countries. Your data may be processed or stored outside your country of residence, including outside the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland.
Where required by applicable law, we use appropriate safeguards for international data transfers. These may include adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, data processing agreements, or equivalent legal mechanisms.
15
International availability of the service
Veritas may be accessed by users from different countries. The availability of a report in a particular language does not mean that the service is limited to countries where that language is officially spoken.
For example, a user may choose an English, Polish, German, Spanish, French, Italian, or Dutch report regardless of where they live.
Depending on your location, you may have additional privacy rights under your local laws.
16
Automated report generation
Veritas reports are generated using automated processing of the information you provide.
The reports are reflective and interpretive in nature. They are intended for personal insight only and are not used by Veritas to make decisions that produce legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affect you.
Veritas does not use automated report generation to make decisions about employment, credit, insurance, healthcare, legal status, eligibility for services, or similar matters.
17
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, restrict or object to certain processing, request a copy of your data in a portable format, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, the right to correct inaccurate personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
Veritas does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
If you are located elsewhere, you may have similar rights under your local privacy laws.
To exercise your rights, contact us through the Veritas contact page or by email at support@your-veritas.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.
18
Children's privacy
Veritas is not directed at children and is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 16.
If you believe that a child has provided personal information to Veritas, contact us at support@your-veritas.com so that we can review and delete the information where appropriate.
19
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
The version published on this page is the current version of the Privacy Policy.
